Technician’s Note: When installing the 3/8″ MPT side into a manifold or pump body, use 3–4 wraps of high-density PTFE thread tape or a food-grade pipe dope to ensure a vacuum-tight seal. For the barb side, we recommend using a 15.7mm Oetiker Stepless Clamp for 3/8″ ID vinyl tubing. Unlike brass, which can “leach” over time when exposed to high-acidity soda syrups or RO water, this 304 stainless steel adapter maintains total flavor neutrality and structural integrity.
