This spring-loaded valve sits inside the liquid or gas post, creating the primary seal that prevents beer or CO2 from escaping when the disconnect is removed. Specifically designed to fit AEB and Spartan series ball lock kegs, this poppet features a high-durability internal spring and a food-grade elastomer seal to ensure your keg remains pressure-tight during storage and serving.
Maintenance Tip: If your keg post is leaking after you remove the disconnect, the poppet valve is likely worn or has debris trapped in the seal. When replacing, ensures the poppet is seated squarely in the post. Apply a tiny amount of food-grade silicone grease (Petrol-Gel) to the seal to prevent it from drying out and to ensure a perfect 100% airtight seat.
