This is a very unusual and attractive baking innovation from France. Disposable baking baskets are made from thinly shaved poplar wood and lined with a silicone treated paper. These “loaf baskets” bake beautifully (up to 450F), or can be filled with cookies, spiced nuts or chocolates.
