Description
The Brass Half Union is a precision draught component for transitioning between high-pressure gas threads and standard plumbing threads. It features a 1/4″ Male Flare (MFL) connection on one end and a 1/4″ Male Pipe Thread (NPT) on the other. Constructed from high-purity solid brass, it provides industrial-grade durability and a 100% leak-proof seal. This fitting is ideal for connecting CO2 regulators or manifold blocks to NPT-threaded equipment or secondary gas lines.
Technician’s Note: Use high-quality PTFE (Teflon) tape on the 1/4″ NPT (tapered) side for a liquid-tight seal. The 1/4″ MFL (straight thread) side does not require tape but should be used with a standard swivel nut and nylon flare washer to ensures a gas-tight connection. The brass construction is safe for CO2, Nitrogen, and compressed air systems.
