The Heavy-Duty Brass Ball Valve is a specialized gas management component for commercial beverage manifolds. Featuring a 1/4″ Male Pipe Thread (MPT) inlet and a 1/4″ hose barb outlet, it includes an integrated one-way check valve. This critical feature prevents liquid backflow from the keg into your gas lines and regulator, protecting your equipment from syrup or beer contamination. Constructed from high-purity brass, it provides a 1/4-turn positive shut-off for individual gas lines.
Technician’s Note: Use high-quality PTFE tape on the 1/4″ MPT threads to ensures a gas-tight seal to your manifold. The internal check valve is essential for multi-keg systems where pressure fluctuations can otherwise cause beer to travel up the gas line. Secure the 1/4″ ID tubing to the barb using a stainless steel Oetiker stepless clamp for a permanent, high-pressure connection.
