Technician’s Note: When threading this 3/4″ MPT fitting into a stainless steel or plastic manifold, always use a high-quality PTFE thread tape or food-grade pipe sealant. Because brass is a softer metal, it provides an excellent seal against harder materials, but cross-threading can occur if not started by hand. For the barb side, we recommend a 13.3mm or 14.0mm Oetiker clamp to ensure a permanent, 360-degree seal that won’t blow off under city water pressure.
