Technician’s Note: When inserting the 3/8″ stem into a push-fit manifold, ensure the stem is cut perfectly square and is pushed past the internal O-ring until it “bottoms out.” If the fitting leaks under pressure, it is likely that the stem was not inserted deeply enough or the O-ring has been nicked by a burred edge. For the barb side, always use a 13.3mm Oetiker clamp to prevent the hose from backing off under the thermal expansion cycles common in walk-in coolers.
