The Shurflo 90-Degree Brass Gas Elbow is a specialized fitting for compact syrup pump installations. This elbow features a 1/4″ hose barb and an integrated check valve. The check valve is a vital safety component that prevents liquid backflow from damaging the gas system or regulator in the event of a pump failure. The 90-degree design is ideal for tight BIB (Bag-In-Box) racks where vertical clearance is limited.
Technician’s Note: This fitting is designed to thread into the gas inlet port of Shurflo 2088 and 8000 series pumps. Ensure the O-ring is present and clean before threading. Use an Oetiker clamp to secure the gas line to the 1/4″ barb for a permanent, leak-proof connection in commercial fountain environments.
