Description
The 304 Stainless Steel Beer Ball Valve (D1561) is an essential upgrade for commercial draught systems and advanced home setups. Engineered to thread directly onto the standard 7/8″-14 (5/8″ BSP) male threads of a keg coupler, this valve provides a reliable manual shut-off point at the keg. This is particularly useful for multi-keg manifolds or long-draw systems where you need to isolate a single line for maintenance, cleaning, or coupler swaps without affecting the rest of the draft rack.
Constructed entirely from investment-cast 304-grade stainless steel, this ball valve is highly resistant to the corrosive nature of beer and the aggressive chemicals used in line cleaning. The internal PTFE (Teflon) seats and high-polish stainless ball ensure a smooth, “no-stick” operation and a bubble-tight seal every time. Its full-port design ensures that there is no restriction in beer flow, preventing the turbulence that causes unwanted foaming during a pour.
The “Dry-Change” Strategy:This valve is a lifesaver for direct-draw kegerators. By installing this valve, you can shut off the beer flow, remove your beer line for cleaning, and leave the coupler attached to the keg.Pro-Tip: To ensure a leak-proof seal on the female side of the valve, always use a standard black rubber beer washer. When tightening, a firm hand-tighten followed by a 1/4 turn with a hex wrench is sufficient; over-tightening can crush the washer and actually cause a leak.
