Unlike plastic pistons, ceramic components do not deform under high pressure and offer superior resistance to the acidic nature of soda concentrates. Technician’s Repair Tip: If your soda gun is leaking from the nozzle or the brix ratio is “creeping,” the syrup piston may be fouled with dried syrup residue or mineral scale.
